What a stroke of luck. I thought it was going to rain most of today but caught a break. Got out for a ride. It was pretty windy for half the ride and encountered some closed roads due to flooding but overall nice (but humid…ick)
It is really hot out today but Jason and I did over 20+ miles. The readout doesn’t say it because I turned it off at a certain point and turned it back on later. Ooops
Whatever happened on my recent ride was a bit of a fluke.
12 miles? Really? Got really light headed and dizzy. Call Rider Support. Note to self…stop the supplements.
Kicking it today…thanks in great part to a training trick I learned from my Death Valley Ride. FRITOS! These are great on hot days to help hold fluids and they are nice and salty. Hmm Hmm Good.
I flatted about 2 miles away from home. No biggie, get out the spare tube and CO2 cartridge and…CO2 EMPTY although never poked. Call rider support..Karen can you come get me? Thank you.
Feeling it a little better….
Did this ride while at Blackhawk Campground near Rockford. Don’t know what the deal was but I Did Not Have It this day at all…plus got lost. Just look at the goofy route I took and that will tell you.
Kind of windy but with lessons learned, better and more frequent hydration, eating more really helped this ride be better. It’s like I have never done this before but re-learning how my body responds to riding.
